So let’s talk about how easy it is to turn store bought or homemade donut holes into adorable bat donuts faster than your kid can warn you his friends are hungry.
How to Make Bat Donuts
- Chocolate donut holes
- Oreos (not the mini-size cookies)
- Candy eyes
- Icing
Once you have your chocolate donut holes ready to go, split the Oreo cookies in half to make enough wings for each bat donut.
Scrape the cream filling from the chocolate wafer cookies, then break the cookie in half to make bat wings.
Place the candy eyes onto the pastry with a little bit of icing. Next, insert a bat wing on either side of the donut hole making sure not push them in too far. No one wants a wimpy wing and we don’t want to risk splitting or breaking the donut in half.
Display the tiny bats on a serving tray to serve.
